What happens in the last days

September 23, 2017 By Austin Gardner Leave a Comment

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, That the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; And he will teach us of his ways, And we will walk in his paths: For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

God still has plans for Israel. Jerusalem will once again be prominent. People will go to Jerusalem from all over the world to learn about the Lord God. People will be hungry to learn. They will go to Jerusalem. God’s Word will flow out of Jerusalem to the entire world.

This is important for us for several reasons. God still has plans for the future. He has plans for Jerusalem. God has not lost. Things may seem bleak now but before it is over people will be hearing the Word and sharing the Word. The temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem. All nations will be seeking out the things of God.

Remember that if God’s promises about Jerusalem, the future, His prophecies aren’t true then you can trust nothing else He says. If you spiritualize away what these verses say you will have to do the same with your salvation. Learn to take the Bible as it is and believe it. God is at work. He will use the real Jerusalem just like Isaiah would have understood it.

That means the church is not Israel. We are not Jerusalem. God hasn’t changed His plan. It would only mean that many who can’t trust God to keep His Word have tried to remove Israel from God’s future plans.
