l Kings 21:25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
Ahab was a very wicked man. He sold himself, gave all, 100% of himself to do wrong. The thing that jumps off the page for me is that his wife stirred him. She motivated him. She encouraged him. She pushed him.
I think about wives as I read this verse. I wonder how you motivate your husband. Does he feel encouraged to put God first in everything? Does he want to sell himself to God and His work? Does he feel like he should give everything he has to serve God because of your motivations? Would he be doing more or less for God based on your influence?
Sometimes wives would say that they aren’t motivating but the truth is that women have a great effect on their men. You can’t be the same once you meet that woman you love. You have great influence. How are you using it?
