Obvious to Saul

I Samuel 26:25 Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.

David did right. He didn’t kill or harm Saul when he had the chance. He was good even to his enemies. He respected God’s anointed even though they were basically at war. Saul knew that David was different. He knew that God was going to use David to accomplish great things. He knew that in the long run David was going to win in this conflict they were having. He could tell because David did the right thing even in difficult circumstances.

I want to be used of God. I want to do right even when it is hard. I want others to be able to tell that God is using me and working in my life. Don’t you? Let’s be careful how we act when we are being attacked. Let’s be careful about not striking back. Let’s be careful of not using even the advantages given to us. Let’s just do what we know God wants us to do.
