Still a lot to do

Joshua 13:1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

Joshua had given his entire life to serving God. He had watched God bring them across the Jordan river. He had seen the walls of Jericho fall. He had seen the people take the land and begin to possess it.

Now he was old and about to leave the ministry and this earth yet God told him that there was still much to do. I want to still have dreams and work to do when I die. I want to bust it as hard as I can for as long as I can but then I want to still know that God has so much more.

The work will not cease when we are gone. We can do a great work by preparing someone to work in our place after we are gone. That is our ministry. Training others to do what we do even better. There is still a lot to do!
