Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, And I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah calls on God’s people turn to the Lord. If they will turn to the Lord then the Lord will turn to them. Their sins and their desire to walk away from God is bringing discipline and heartache to their lives. God tells them that their being rebellious and walking away is what is causing the hurt. They need to turn.
They could turn. It was their decision. If they would obey then God would bless. You can’t blame your sin or rebellion on God. Turn and get right with God. Enjoy God’s blessings or keep walking away and endure God’s judgment.
