Amos 7:15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
Amos knew that this ministry was not something he had gone looking for. He had been working as a shepherd. He had no thoughts or intentions of getting out into the public like God had called him to do. It was God that sent him. It was God that told him what to do.
We need to be ready for God to speak to us as well. He may yet call you from behind your desk and computer to take the gospel to the world. You need to be ready to listen and follow the Lord. Decide to allow God to set the agenda for your life.
