Isaiah 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, And his form more than the sons of men:
Jesus was God in human flesh. He submitted Himself to be made a man. He was 100% man while being 100% God. He really did feel the pain. He felt it for us. He took our suffering. The tormentors hurt Him so badly that all were astonished. They couldn’t believe what He had suffered. They destroyed His face. He was beaten more horribly than any man.
He did all this for us. We deserved the punishment. We deserved death and Hell and yet Jesus, God in human flesh, took it all for us. He didn’t die because He had to. He died because He loved you. He took your sin payment. Give Him your life. Trust Him for your salvation.
