Psalm 60:11 Give us help from trouble: For vain is the help of man. 12 Through God we shall do valiantly: For he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
God is our help. Men can’t help us. We can’t help ourselves. Only Jesus saves. Only Jesus does the real work that needs to be done.
This was written about a battle. They needed God’s help and realized that He was the only one that could help. We are not in those battles like the nation of Israel. We are in the battle of our lives. Where will we spend eternity? What will we do against death?
Men are not the answer. I so often want to run to a man to help me. I think someone that has money or influence can help but I can never and should never think like that. I need to be looking to the Lord Jesus.
God gives us victory. We can trust Him and be sure that He will take care of us through it all.
