Job 33:33 If not, hearken unto me: Hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
I find it hilarious that this man held his peace until the other three friends finished talking. He had hoped that the wise and old men could help Job see his mistakes. When they failed he says that he must talk. He is about to explode with such great knowledge in him.
He tells the man that God is pleased with, the man God is using to showcase character and faithfulness to Satan and the world that he will teach him. It is so easy to think we have answers when we do not.
It is so easy to sit in judgment when we have not been through the fire ourselves. We would be much better served if we would comfort, console, and confirm our love more than scold and confront.
I don’t always know what is happening in the other person’s life. I don’t know what they are going through. Maybe less teaching and more loving is in order!
