Job 6:25 How forcible are right words! But what doth your arguing reprove? 26 Do ye imagine to reprove words, And the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
Job lets his friends know that they could be making a difference but that they are not doing so. They are arguing. They are reproving. They seem angry. They were hungry to hurt not help. It was as if they rejoiced in his suffering as a way to say that he deserved what was happening.
We could use our words to help. We could be there to love and help. We could use our words to encourage and build up.
How do you use your words? How do you handle yourself when others are hurting? Do you get excited because it is a way to justify yourself? Do you use the suffering of others to feel good about yourself?
