Seeking the wealth of his people

Esther 10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

What a man, this Mordecai! He is know for being accepted of the multitude of his brethren. He is great among his people. The Bible tells us pretty much why this is truth in two descriptions.

He sought the wealth of his people. He wasn’t living for what he could get but for what he could give. He lives to make others rich.

He spoke peace to all his seed. I wonder what that meant. He encouraged them? He taught them truth to live by? He told them the gospel? I am not sure what it means but I can see how to apply it to my life.

I can be interested in helping others and furthering their ministries. I can be interested in telling people the truth of the gospel. The gospel is the only source of true peace. I want to be found telling people the truth. I want to be found making a difference and helping others be more successful.
