II Chronicles 18:33 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
Ahab had apparently gotten away with his sin for many years. Naboth had lost his vineyard. Ahab was still living and enjoying his sin.
He goes into battle thinking that he has disguised himself and will be ok. The battle seems to have left him unscathed. Now at the last a man shoots an arrow with not real purpose or intent.
God sees to it that the arrow find its way to Ahab, and exactly the point to enter into his armor.
God had promised that Ahab would pay and now he was paying. God’s justice moves slow sometimes but it moves sure. God will do what He says He will do
