I Chronicles 17:24 Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.David desperately wanted to build God a house, a temple. God told him that he could not build it. David had blood on his hands. God would allow David’s son build the temple. God did promise David that he would establish his house. David would not be like Saul and lose it. What blesses, impresses, and teaches me is that David so easily and willingly accepts it. David didn’t argue with God. David thanked God. I usually know what I want. I push and argue and fight. I don’t accept the good blessings that I am getting but see what God is not allowing me to have. I learned a lesson today, I hope. I want to be so thankful for all that He is doing in my life. I want to accept His will and be grateful. I want to love Him and praise Him for how good He is.
