II Kings 14:24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.Several times in this chapters you are going to see the phrase “made Israel to sin!” These were people of influence, kings, leaders. They not only sinned themselves but influenced others to do the same. What a terrible indictment! If we are going to sin that is one thing but making others sin is far worse. We must all think about what we are doing, how are we leading or influencing others. Would others want to serve God because they know us or would they sin due to our leadership. Lets be careful to have a godly influence. Let’s use our lives to make a difference for the Lord Jesus Christ!
