Praying for wisdom

February 19, 2016 By Austin Gardner Leave a Comment

I Kings 4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

God I would ask of you the same things you gave to Solomon. I ask for wisdom. I want to be able to know what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Most of all I want to do things that bring honor and glory to your name. I want to always put you first in every decision that I make as I believe that is what wisdom would have me to do. I would ask that you help me to think correctly about things that are happening in my life. I ask you to help me be sensitive to your will and what is right. I pray you to give me experience in your ways.

I ask for understanding. Give me insight into you and the things you bring to play in my life. Help me not to be foolish. Help me to be slow to get angry and to walk uprightly. Help me to know that it is you that is charge of my life. Help me to be able to discern between right and wrong. Help me to be able to discern your will. Help me to understand and help me to work at understanding more

I ask for largeness of heart. Help me to be able to think to walk wisely, to understand but to do so with a heart for others. Help me to have all of this and to be kind and do things for others.
