II Samuel 8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
It is easy to think that David had his mighty men and was also a great warrior. We will think that David took care of himself. He had good friends that took care of him but that is not true. God took care of David. He was fighting and leading an army. An arrow could have found David and taken him out but it didn’t. God preserved David.
How often do we think that it is our great medical care, our strong constitution or whatever that is taking care of us. God is watching over you and your family. Thank Him for His goodness to you. Realize that God is doing more in your life than you probably ever think about. Thank Him!
