Sunday in Review

February 2, 2016 By Ben Daniel Leave a Comment

This Sunday, in the morning service, we were able to see 259 in total attendance. The service went on as usual, and Pastor Gardner preached out of Galatians 2 on justification. Explaining that justification comes from Jesus Christ alone and nothing else. A foundational doctrine for the church of Jesus Christ, we need to remember that we cannot save ourselves, that there is nothing we can do to get our own salvation, it comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.

Sunday evening we were able to once again have the student driven service. For those of you unfamiliar with this service, on the fifth sunday of every month the evening service is run solely by the youth of the church. It is an awesome opportunity for the youth of the church to act out any call they may have and to prepare them for future ministry. Greg Keelen was able to preach to an audience of 184 out of Mark 2 on doing whatever it takes to lead your friends to Jesus.12657840_10208777822262348_5956891201441294032_o A convicting message and something that we need to be constantly reminded to do. The youth did a superb job on the service, if these are the men and women we have to look forward to leading the church, then the future looks very bright. Thank you for reading, and if you enjoyed reading about the church services just think how much more you would enjoy them in person. We hope to see you next week at Vision Baptist Church, God bless.
