I Samuel 26:24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
What a verse! Saul is chasing David. David has the opportunity to take his life. Instead David doesn’t let his men hurt the king. He then tells Saul that he did it so that God would value his life and get him out of trouble in the future.
I read this and thought about how I need to treat others the way I want to be treated. Someone may have done me wrong but I want to do right knowing that God is watching and might reward my actions.
I need to be the better man. I need to allow God to take care of those that would hurt me. I need to not strike out at others. I have often violated this principle but I believe that it works.
God help me trust you and wait on you. Help me not hurt others just because they are hurting me.
