From faith to fear, extremes

I Samuel 21:13 And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.

David has gone to the king of Gath. He is running for his life. He is afraid of Saul.

The man who killed Goliath runs to the enemy. They enemy soldiers begin talking about him. He knows that they know who he is. He begins to act like he is crazy to save his life.

I identify with David. I can have such good moments when I see God doing great things in my life. I can see God save souls, build churches, and prove Himself in so many ways. Then I can go to the other extreme and cower in fear.

Thank God that He loves us on both extremes. We are doing great things and He loves us. We do dumb stuff, sin, cower before problems, whine, etc and He still loves us.

The beautiful thing is that God is still going to use David after this.

So if you have had ups and downs know that God loves you in spite of you. Know that He will bless and use you in mighty ways.

This is not to excuse my weaknesses but rather to encourage others that might suffer from a similar plight. God still loves you and will use you!
