Dear Givers and Supporters of Vision
What a wonderful year the Lord God has given us. He has given us spiritual and numerical growth. He has now allowed us to see nine of our young men ordained to the gospel ministry. We ended the year with 24 missionaries that are members and sent out of our church.
The church had the blessing of seeing Micah and Kathryn Rastelli start deputation as missionaries to Bosnia. Micah was one of our first deacons. We also saw Miguel and Mariangela Sanabria start deputation to Colombia as missionaries. Miguel was the first person saved at Vision. He became our Spanish pastor.
God allowed us to see eight baptized and twelve others join the church. We also added Jeff Mize and Ty Pepperdine as new deacons. We now have a total of five deacons; Chuck Littlefield, John Pearson, Brett Johnson, Jeff Mize, and Ty Pepperdine.
You know that God has also allowed us to see great things happen as we nearly ready to break ground for the church building. We have nine acres of land that is already paid for. We reached over $470,000 in our Nehemiah fund. We are asking God for still another $230,000 to outfit everything in the new building.
The newest news is that we were approved for a grant of $600,000 by the Lasko Foundation for our new worship center. Did you read that? God has poured out His blessings. As John Pearson reminded the staff and deacons God has given us back half of what we have given in missions over the last ten years. I am sure you know that Vision has given over $1,200,000 to world evangelism over the 10 year life span of the church.
God is blessing the church in great ways. He is using you and your faithful giving. Your investment in the work of God is making a difference here at Vision, in our community, and around the world.
I wanted to write this letter on behalf of the church, the deacons, and the staff to say thank you. Thank you for giving. Thank you for praying. Thank you for being faithful to our God.
I am expecting to see God do more in our church in our tenth year than He has ever done before. Will you commit with me to serve and honor God this year and attempt greater things than we have ever done before? A new building, a real auditorium, classrooms, etc. this is going to be a great year. We are going to have the time of our lives. Get in here with us and lets see great things.
Thankful to you and your participation in all the Lord is doing at Vision,
W. Austin Gardner
