We had 212 in attendance for our Sunday morning service yesterday, and Trent Cornwell preached a sermon about being prepared for Christ’s coming from Matthew chapters 24 and 25.
Our weekly teachers and workers meeting was all about discipleship, and we had missionary Scott Newton teach us on the importance of disciple-making and some common misconceptions that go along with that.
In the evening service, we were in Deuteronomy chapter 25 and learned about the importance of dealing with sin in our life immediately, and the long-term effects it could have if we ignore it. It was a great reminder that the Word of God teaches that we have already recieved the victory over sin, and all we have to do is live like it!
Continue to pray for Pastor Gardner as he is still in Peru. This past week he preached in the annual Pastor’s Conference in Arequipa. You can read about his thoughts on the trip here.
