Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
God has made promises to Abraham. Now they are just part of the understanding. God is doing great things. He is about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Does He tell Abraham what is going to happen or not?
Notice, seeing that he will become. It is just an understood.
Notice surely become, there is no doubt.
Most of all notice that all the nations of the earth will be blessed in Abraham. God wasn’t blessing Abraham just for Abraham. He was blessing Abraham to be a blessing.
What I like the most in this verse is the direct understanding and assumption that it is all going to happen. He promised and so it is going to happen.
That is great comfort when I think of my salvation. He promised. He will do it!
