There were 199 people at Vision during our Sunday School hour, and a total of 248 in our morning worship service!
Continuing in Matthew chapter 23, Pastor Gardner preached on the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and the judgment that comes on false spiritual leaders.
The Students of Vision did a tremendous job leading the student driven service this Sunday night! With our graduating seniors gone, there were many roles to fill and the students rose to the challenge.
Music-wise, David Clapp led the singing, the middle-school girls sang “Our Heart, Our Desire”, and there were three young ladies who shared the responsibility of playing the piano during the service.
Angel gave an excellent offering devotional on giving to the Lord and trusting in Him to provide for your needs. Announcements about the upcoming missions conference, the country of the week, and a missionary update were all given by the students as well.
Gregory Keelan did a great job preaching his first 12 minute message on Colossians 3 and the importance of setting your eyes on the things that truly matter.
It was encouraging to see the older students teaching the younger students fill the roles they had once had in the service. We are very proud of the students of Vision and their involvement in the church. Last night was a great reminder about the importance of investing in our young people, and how encouraging it is to see them participate in ministry at a young age!
