Vision Baptist is a unique church, and that could not have been more evident than it was during yesterday’s service. Vision is a church that has given over a million dollars to foreign missions over the past nine years, in spite of needing a bigger building to meet in. Vision is a church that supports 48 missionaries, with 21 of those being families that were personally trained and sent out from Vision. Vision is a church that is often saying good-bye to faithful members in order that they can go to the uttermost parts of the world to spread the gospel. And, Vision is a church that is excited to announce the resignation of a deacon and a Spanish pastor. During last night’s service, Micah Rastelli announced that he had sent in his resignation as a deacon of Vision Baptist Church, so that he and his wife, Kathryn, could follow the Lord’s leading on his life to serve as a missionary to Bosnia. Miguel Sanabria followed that up and announced that he was resigning as pastor of the Spanish congregation of Vision, to become a missionary to Colombia with his wife, Mariangela. While we are saddened to see two very special families begin the journey to leave Vision and move overseas for the sake of the gospel, we are excited about God’s goodness to us as a church family. It is evident that He is working through Vision to accomplish great things in Alpharetta and around the world! If you want to know more about how you can become involved in what God is doing, come to our missions conference September 10-13! We will have missionaries going around the world presenting their burden and you can learn what your part in taking the gospel around the world can be.
