I Corinthians 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
When the prophets spoke Paul said that there were to be others there that judged, evaluated. One speaks, another listens, and checks him out. There was accountability.
You couldn’t just say what you wanted to say and get away with it. You were to speak and others would evaluate.
It should be true that any of us that teach the Bible are ready to be evaluated. We want to know that others listen, check the Scriptures, and see that we are saying what the Bible says.
No one gets so big that they can just preach, teach, talk, etc without being accountable to others.
This thing of teaching and preaching is serious business. We do not say just what is on our hearts but rather what is clearly taught and understood from the Word of God.
If you found something that no one else knows then you are probably wrong!
