Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
When Cornelius sent for Peter it was a shock to Peter. Peter had been very strongly raised as a Jew. He had a hard time understanding how God could and would work with the unclean. He had spent his entire life living by a system of rules. These rules were deeply embedded in him.
Now God was speaking to him about doing something that went against everything in him. He was to witness to a non Jewish person. That person was uncircumcised yet God wanted Peter to witness to him.
Peter learns that God loves all people of all races. He didn’t just give salvation to the Jews but to the world.
What a wonderful revelation! God loves everyone. All can be saved!
