This Sunday morning at Vision kicked off with our Sunday School and Adult Bible Fellowships meeting at 9:30. This time is characterized by groups of different ages and stages in life meeting around the building- whether it be high-schoolers, middle-schoolers, couples, etc. We especially love to hear our middle-schoolers enthusiastic singing each week as they start class!
In the AM service today, we learned what our attitude should be as a servant of Christ in Matthew 19. Are we serving to get something in return, or are we serving out of a grateful heart to our Lord? Are we serving expecting recognition and praise from others, or because we know that it is our rightful duty? Are we jealous of others when they receive better treatment than ourselves, or do we rejoice in our brother’s blessing? Often our serving is characterized by wrong motives, but we can overcome this by dwelling on all that Christ has done for us and rejoice in the fact that we do not receive what we truthfully deserve as sinners.
We also had a baptism today! One of the ladies who has faithfully attended Spanish church and has made a profession of faith, took the next step of obedience and was baptized this morning! Below is a picture of her and Spanish pastor Miguel Sanabria. Please continue to pray for our Spanish ministry and the great work that God is doing there!
