Two-hundred and nineteen people showed up at Vision Baptist Church for Friend Day, and even though our time of food and fellowship at the park was accompanied by a steady shower of rain, we had a great morning service and afternoon together!
The Student-Driven service, which takes place every month with a fifth Sunday, was a tremendous blessing to everyone at Vision. From the music to the offering devotional, special singing to announcements, and a slideshow showing our missionary kids and Vision teens serving God, the entire service was driven by our high-school students. Justus Mize preached on having the singleness of mind found in Philippians 1, and all were challenged to live their life for Christ.
We also had five people join our church family this Sunday! Two young me, Jeffery Brown and Jose Santana both joined in the morning service, and the Wipf family joined in the evening. We are blessed and excited to see how God is growing Vision!
