So Quickly And Easily We Forget – Daily Devotional – May 27th, 2015

Psalm 16:13 They soon forgat his works; They waited not for his counsel:

The children of Israel had been brought out of Egypt and slavery. God had provided everything thing that they needed. He loved them. He protected them but they soon forgot what He was doing and wanted more. They wanted something else.

It seems that things become normal to us. The blessings that others wish for happen to us and we get used to them. Then we are not satisfied. We then complain because He should be giving us more.

We forget where we were. We forget what He did to get us to where we are. We focus on ourselves and what we want and not on Him and what He has done. We become ungrateful. I am so guilty.

Lord, I am sorry. I have been blessed by you. If I died right now and it was all over for this life I would have to say that you have been super good to me. You have blessed in more ways than I could number. You have led me and guided me. You have more than met my needs, you have met many of my wants. You have been good to me.

Forgive me for being ungrateful. Forgive me for being selfish. Today I want to praise you and thank you for it all. I wan to live in praise and gratitude today!
