Job 23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; And backward, but I cannot perceive him: 9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: He hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: 10 But he knoweth the way that I take: When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Job says that he can’t find God. He can’t see Him or feel Him. Job feels like God is hiding from him. But even in all these problems he knows that God’s testing will only prove what he is made of. He knows God and he knows that God knows him. This is the big lesson for us to learn in the middle of big problems.
God knows me. God knows that I love Him and that I am trying to serve Him. This blesses me. I know what it feels like to wonder where God is? But usually I doubt that God would be pleased with me. Job understands that God does love him and is pleased with him. I need to learn that and make it a practical reality of my life.
