I Chronicles 18:8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa. 9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people. 10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.
This is a horribly sad story. God’s men have died. Saul died. The Philistines attribute his death to their gods. They go every where telling the story. They nailed his head to the wall in the temple of Dagon, an idol, that represents demons, Satan.
How much I should realize that Satan wants to cause God’s men to fail so that he, his demons, and the world can rejoice in what is a perceived victory over God.
Keep your eyes on Jesus. Do not allow Satan to rejoice against God. You have the power for victory. You are a new creature, greater in you is He than he that is in the world.
