Paul wanted fruit in Rome like he had in other places

Romans 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

Paul writes the church in Rome, or at least to the beloved of God that were called to be saints there. He is anxious to get to Rome so that he can have some fruit there. He wants God to use him among those believers there like He has used him among other Gentiles.

Paul was hungry to be used of God. He wanted to see God use him in lots of places. He wasn’t going there to steal fruit. He would ask God to give him fruit among those that had not yet heard the Scriptures.

Romans 15:20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

Paul wanted God to use him all over the world. He wanted to see fruit among Gentiles everywhere. Even among the believers of Rome.

God give us a heart and passion to take the Scriptures to the world. Give us a heart to keep reaching new people with your Word.
