Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
When you are a disciple maker you will be training a person to be like you. Many people think of discipling as teaching the foundations of Christianity. In a sense this is correct. We do want to take people and teach them the basics of Christianity. We want them to know from the Bible how to be sure that they are saved, how to read their Bibles, how to pray, how to give, and many other things.
But when Jesus talked about discipling He was talking about how He was making men like Him. When they were completely, perfectly trained they would be like their master.
I want to challenge you to make another like you. That puts lots of pressure on you. You must be what you would want to see reproduced. You must live out your faith. You must be serving God the way you would teach another to do so.
I challenge you to become a disciple maker. Make another like you!
