Hindering Jesus

Mark 8:33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Peter meant to be loving Jesus. He simply didn’t want to see Jesus hurt. So many times I get caught so much up in this world that I do not remember or realize what God is doing in the real world. He has a plan. I need to line up with Him even though it might not be the easiest plan.

Do I love the things of God or of myself? I am afraid that I often am hung up on me and mine. Do you have that problem?
