Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
He knew when He sent His disciples out that they were going to be in danger. He sent them out knowing that they would suffer. There is no idea here about being a secret agent Christian. It is simply use your head. I am sending you as a sheep into the wolf pack. Do your job, be careful.
But that is what I am doing. And that is what happens as we take the gospel to a world that doesn’t love Jesus, but we still go!
