Download this week’s bulletin:VISIONNEWS for Nov16 I cannot say it enough “I love our church!” Yesterday morning we were blessed to assemble once again and worship Jesus. Josh Ewing did a wonderful job leading us in our congregational worship. It has been exciting to see our middle school and high school Student Bible Fellowships grow over the last several months. You can hear our middle schoolers singing from just about anywhere in the building. It is wonderful! Tony Godzwa has been filling for our Pastor as he has been traveling in Asia. I hear he has been doing a wonderful job leading he class through the Bible study. It was also great to have Pastor Frick and Mrs. Judy back. We continued our study in the book of Matthew. In Matthew 14:1-12 we looked at the contrast of two kings. We saw horrible, Herod and learned somethings about being living in the kingdom of darkness. We then looked at the courage and integrity of John the Baptist and the disciples. We decided being that we have Jesus as King we can live counter culture in this kingdom knowing we belong to another kingdom! In the evening service we had the privilege of praying with Eric Elrod as he embarks on his 6 month internship to New Delhi, India. Jim Roberts, our missionary in India, sent in a video to express his gratitude for our church for being willing and able to help send him there. We presented him with a small journey with some notes of encouragement and a bag of beef jerky (just in case). We also took at look into Numbers 16 and saw that Jesus is the only true mediator between God and man and that He cannot be replaced because it is a God given ministry. As well we took a look at authority and saw that “rejecting God given authority is a rejection of God’s Word, when His Word gives the authority.” Continue to pray for our Pastor, Mrs. Betty, Ben Johnson, and Kanon as they return from Taiwan this week. God has richly blessed their time there. We look forward to hearing their report this coming Sunday.
