Bulletin for the Week: VISIONNEWS | June 22nd, 2014
As procrastinators have said for generations “better late than never!” I thought I would post this Sunday Review before the next Sunday came. Which, by the way, will be awesome! It is 19:14 Sunday. We will be praying for our VBS workers, eating lunch together, and in the evening service hear from Pastor Robert who is returning from China today.
In the morning service before Pastor Gardner preached from Matthew 8 we were informed, by our church CFO/Treasurer, that we had crossed the one million mark in missions giving! As our Pastor announced “God has done something great! He has given to His causes through us over $1,000,000. That is over $10,000 a month for 99 months that we have been a church!” I could tell you story after story of lives that had been changed, buildings that have been built, airplane tickets that have been purchased, and resources that have been purchased by our missionaries for the sake of the advancement of the Gospel around the world!
Often times a “company” will frame dollars that mark different important times in their business. John Pearson decided it didn’t best reflect our heart our heart to have a real dollar in a frame for our viewing pleasure. So it is not a real dollar in the frame. I think it awesome and very funny.
Here is the video we played before the baptism of Gregory Keelan on Sunday evening. We are very proud of this young man. He has shown a heart and mind for the things of the Lord. He is also extremely hilarious. We are grateful for him and his family. They help make Vision the wonderful church family that it is!
Do not forget this Thursday is the split sessions. We have our monthly Vision Fraternity and Ladies Fellowship at 7 pm. This will be the first service the Tolsons will be us since their return from China! You will want to miss it!
