John 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
Jesus is breaking down barriers that religion had built up . He goes where good religious Jews of His day refuse to go. He will eat food purchased in their city which also violated the custom of the day. He will extend the offer of grace to someone far outside the normally expected bounds. Nicodemus would have been the logical choice to teach the truth.
This is a woman, a sinful woman, and a Samaritan His trip through Samaria shows that the gospel invitation extends to all. Those that are far off . Those that are in wicked, vile sin. Those that previously had not even been considered.
Jesus steps out of his comfort zone to reach someone with the gospel . He went to Samaria though it was very much against the culture of His day. He spoke with a woman when Jewish men did not do that. He spoke with a sinful woman, which was even worse.
He goes where she is. He purposely shares the gospel with her.
Are you stepping out of your comfort zone to witness to others!
