Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
Our God does not have pleasure in the death of those that die. That is made clear in this verse. A rhetorical questions is asked in
Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
It appears that the question is asked and here it is answered. The only death that he delights in would be that of the saints because we go to be with Him.
Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of his saints.
Knowing that our God takes no pleasure in the death of wicked should spurn us on to tell others about Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross of Calvary. Our Lord finds pleasure when the wicked turns from His evil way to the Lord.
