Jeremiah 42:3 That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do. 4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you. 5 Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
The need of the hour is a people in our churches that will truly want God to show them what they are to do with their lives. The Scriptures are clear that we are to take the gospel message to the world but I am afraid that the average Christian and church member want to know what God can do for them but not what they might be used of God to do for Him, His kingdom, and His purposes.
It is time for the men of God, pastors and preachers, to look in the Word of God to find out what He truly wants and to not keep it back from God’s people. I wonder how many men look and even see His desire all through the Scriptures to get His message to the world and how many of us are willing to say I will declare it and keep nothing back.
The attitude of God’s people should be that they will do according to all things that the Lord God asks of them. How much do we pray that laborers will be sent to the harvest fields of the gospel? How often do we offer ourselves to get the gospel to the world? We must develop this attitude!
