Song of Solomon 2:2 As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. 3 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
A lesson we learn in the Song of Solomon or the Love Song is that we make no comparisons unless our lover wins. My wife is like the lily among thorns. An apple tree among other, just, regular trees is my love.
If you want to grow your marriage then keep your eyes only for your spouse. Don’t look at others and if you do the comparison is only about how much better your spouse is than anyone else.
The same applies to Jesus. He is the only One. All others are simply impostors. He is the One that really loves us. He is the only true God. He is the only One that loves and saves just because He is good!
