Proverbs 23:5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
Why do we get so hungry for something that doesn’t really exist.
The Bible says that money, wealth is something that is not. Money will not stick around. The more you make the more it takes.
Human beings set their hearts on money, on riches, on things money can buy but they are things that are not. They do not exist. Life doesn’t get better because you have those things.
Well it gets better for a while but then you will need more. Money is like a drug. Things demand more things to take care of things. Just a few more dollars will satisfy we think but then we get the money and still need more.
Why not seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness? That is something that is and does satisfy. Let God work in your life and quit worshipping money?
Even godly people fall into this trap. We want, we want so we live our lives trying to get what we want. It doesn’t exist. As soon as we get it, it is gone.
So why don’t you quit the wasted wanting?
