Psalm 25:7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness ‘sake, O Lord.
The psalmist asks God to not remember his past sins because he understands that God is good. He wants to be remembered for His goodness. He acknowledges that he did sin. He does not deny His sin but rather calls on God for His goodness or grace.
Isn’t that a wonderful reminder of what He is doing with us. I did come to Him knowing I was unworthy. I did and do know that I had sinned and failed Him. My salvation has nothing to do with my merit or goodness. It has all to do with how good God is.
Thank God for His grace. That is the only way we stand in His presence.
