Job 19:14 My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me. 15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
Job’s life has basically fallen apart. He has lost his glory. His family and friends don’t seem to respect him. The friends that have come to visit him only want to tear him apart. He feels like God has abandoned him.
The beauty of this is that even though Job is at the end of his rope he still believes God. He knows the following:
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
God still lives. Eventually all this will work out. He knows that he will see God.
That is what I call on you to remember. Things may be bad now. It may be that everyone seems to be against you. You can trust God. Don’t allow the devil to make you doubt God just because things don’t seem to be working out right now.
You will yet praise Him. You will see Him. He will bless you!
