This Week’s Bulletin: Church Bulletin (02/16/14)
Audio: Sunday AM, Sunday PM (To be uploaded later this week.)
We were excited and grateful to see several guests with us this Sunday! We have been continuing our series through Matthew on Sunday mornings and the book of Exodus on Sunday evenings and Thursday nights. Pastor Gardner showed us, from the sermon on the mount, how to be blessed/ happy. In the evening we enjoyed some home made, unleavened bread as we were challenged to teach the Gospel to our children through helping them understand the necessary nature of the sacrificial death of Christ.
Many of our guests were here, yesterday, to celebrate with Brian Johnson as he publicly declared his faith in Jesus through baptism. We are very excited that Sallie and Brian Johnson have joined our church and will be using their God given talents to help us serve our community and reach the world! Here is a video that was shown right before the baptism.
The Johnson’s were not our newest members for very long. In the evening service Tony Godzwa became a member of the church! Tony has already demonstrated his servant’s heart and desire to get involved. He just recently moved to the area and was part of a team of people who delivered Gospel material to almost 600 homes on Saturday morning!
Before our evening service, the Deacons and the Deacons and training met with the pastoral staff and discussed some of the opportunities that God has been providing for our church. We discussed some improvements in our current building, some of the exciting things happening in the youth ministry, and even some possible activities on our new church property.
After the evening service many of us met in the Spanish auditorium for a time of prayer. The church membership roster was prayed over, as well were our missionaries. We labored with our brothers in sisters at Vision Baptist Church of Cobb County in prayer, as they met for their evening service.
