Exodus 7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
Moses was given several things that he could do by the Lord. On several of these the witch doctors, false priests, or sorcerers were able to reproduce them.
One of the big mistakes we make is to go by experience rather than the Word of God. We see things happen and suppose that they are true or that they come from God. Obviously this wasn’t true in this story.
It is also not true in so much of religion today. Satan knows how to counterfeit the truth. He is a deceiver. The only way you can know truth is to look at what the Word of God says. Compare experience to revelation. God ha told us the truth. We have a measuring stick.
We do not decide truth by what we think or how it appears to us but by the study of the Word of God. We make sure what the Bible says and act on fact not feeling!
