Exodus 21:28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29 But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
If your animal hurts someone for the first time the animal was to be put to death. The owner was not to be held responsible for the action of the animal.
If the animal was known to be vicious then the owner was personally held responsible. He was so responsible that he would be put to death. That is a horrible consequence.
I always find it interesting that so many people do not see how practical and applicable the Word of God is. It got into every detail of their lives. It made sense.
Get into the Book. You will be thrilled to see just how great it is!
