Exodus 5:22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
When things are going wrong we are quick to blame God. He isn’t taking care of us. If things go well we are quick to think of how well we are doing! Interesting, no!
Moses cames with the promises of God. He fully expected God to do the work He had promised. However, Moses didn’t expect God to take so long to get it done.
When things didn’t seem to be working out on time Moses was angry with God. He thinks God is failing.
This so much sums up what I often think and how I react. I know that God is going to do something. I am just tired of waiting. I want it now. I know that He didn’t lie.
In this story the failure to see things happen wasn’t that Moses wasn’t doing right. It was simply not God’s time.
Is there a lesson we can learn here?
