Exodus 1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
Egypt decides to kill the male children born to the Jewish women. God touches the hearts of the midwives and they refuse to kill the children.
They save them alive because they fear God. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God. These ladies apparently believed that God existed, that He was powerful, that He was to be respected.
I do not know if you see it or not but it blesses me to see how God worked to protect those babies. How He touched the hearts of the midwives.
It gives me confidence to know that God can save even in the most unusual circumstances. Trust God. He is able to take care of you. Trust Him because He is able to touch hearts that you would never expect to be touched.
He is God and He is worthy of our praise!
