John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
Did you ever consider that nothing surprises the Lord? In this verse Jesus, God in human flesh on earth, knew who was going to betray Him. He also knew who didn’t really believe even if they said that they believed. He knows who will believe before they believe.
He knows who will sin before they sin. He knows everything.
That means that nothing happens in your life that He is not aware of. Every trial, every heartache that comes to you comes with God knowing. It comes to us God approved and God filtered.
It might help us to know that things are not just accidently and casually happening. God is in charge. He knows what is going on. I can trust that He knows what will happen and what to do to help me.
It also might help me to be put in my rightful place. I am not in control. I am not the one who decides. I am not God. He is there. He is bigger than I am. I love knowing that I serve God and not the other way around.
I love knowing that God is taking care of me. He is God, really God. He is not a figment of my imagination. He doesn’t do what I want Him to do. He is God, not me!
